At roscoe we're used to disappointing people. The lure of the mountains, whether steep powdery runs or sheer rock walls, have been too great for us. We've bailed on reputable forms of employment, from investment banking careers to high fashion design; we simply haven't been able to hack it. But we have managed to hack difficult climbing routes, long back-country slogs through rain, hail, sleet and snow, impossibly hard, icy mountain ascents in the dead of winter, and tele turns down steep, narrow chutes where lying down and crying seems a viable option.

roscoe was founded by two outdoor enthusiasts who left better jobs and bigger towns for more time backcountry trekking, skiing, climbing, and paddling. We're located on the edge of the Beartooth Mountains in Montana. The range is a contrast of extraordinary peaks and high mountain plateaus inundated with lakes and waterfalls. It's the perfect environment for climbing before work, fishing after, and spending days off in epic conglomerates of skiing, backpacking, ice climbing and mountaineering. The craggy mountains of the Beartooths enjoy famously erratic weather—a constant challenge for the outdoors person, but a superb way to test outerwear. roscoe’s clothing is designed to fit extremely well, last, and perform in the most challenging conditions.
